How It Works

Turn a broad goal into a specific next step.

The Academy follows a six-part development cycle. Each stage connects what you notice about your practice with something you can do about it.

Assess

Gather a starting picture from the evidence available: your reflections, examples of play and relevant feedback. Keep the situation and table context visible.

Diagnose

Choose a priority worth working on now. Describe it as a skill or action you can practice.

Develop

Study the concept, examine examples and identify what a useful response looks like in context.

Practice

Rehearse the action or apply it in preparation or play. Keep the task focused enough to review afterward.

Observe

Compare your intent with what happened. Use reflection and appropriate feedback to identify what helped and what needs adjustment.

Reassess

Review the evidence, adjust your approach and choose the next priority. Development is an ongoing practice.

The Foundation curriculum pairs lessons with cases, exercises and reflection. This page explains the method; program participation and access are separate from reading the overview.
