Choose one action and a context where it is appropriate. Identify what would count as an opportunity to use it. Tell collaborators what feedback you are inviting; do not make them unwitting assessment subjects.
After the attempt, record what you actually did, the response you observed, and what you cannot conclude. A quiet player may be comfortable or uncomfortable; silence alone does not tell you which.
Repeat with one deliberate adjustment or a new situation. Tools, reminders, notes, and agreed accommodations are legitimate supports.
